Incorrect VAT figures in VAT Return

We have shown some incorrect figures in the VAT returns for previous period.  By mistake, the zero rated sales were not shown as we thought they are out of scope and therefore, we ignored them in the VAT returns. How do we now rectify that mistake? Do we need to file any voluntary disclosure?
