Can VAT be recovered on Out of Scope supplies
Any idea if Out of Scope income will be eligible for recovery of input VAT? One school of thought is that VAT is recoverable because there is no specific bar in the legislation. Other school of thought is that VAT can be recovered only for taxable supplies and any other supply will be ineligible for VAT recovery

Yes you are correct, there are both school of thoughts. In such a case you should rather seek clarification from FTA on such matters before adopting any position.
