UAE introduces smart Tax Domicile Certificate service

The Ministry of Finance at the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has commenced a smart service platform available through its website (mof.gov.ae) or mobile application to aid those applying for a Tax Domicile Certificate (TDC). The beneficiaries include individuals, companies as well as government sector entities looking to take advantage of agreements of double taxation avoidance on income signed by the UAE.

Entities can get started at the services window preceded by registration at the Mof site or mobile application. On selecting the nature of the entity namely individual, private sector, or Government, the user will be redirected to the page listing various services. Once at the issuing Tax Domicile Certificate page, the user is assisted with a user guide, document requirement list, and FAQs. Passport, Residence, and income proof together with bank statements are handy documents while applying for a TDC. The user is now prepared to apply for the TDC.

The Mof smart services domain is instituted at par with The UAE Vision 2021 which aims at smart government transformation.
