The Saudi Customs has recently published terms and conditions for Establishing and Operating Bonded Zones and Bonded Warehousesin accordance with the Common Customs Law of the Gulf Cooperation Council States and its Executive Regulations. Broadly, the regulation covers the following aspects:
- Conditions for the establishment of bonded zones or warehouses;
- Requirements and specifications of the bonded zones or warehouses
- Management, obligations and commitments of the bonded zones or warehouses;
- List of goods prohibited to enter the bonded zones or warehouses;
- Placement in bonded zones and warehouses;
- Operations permitted in bonded zones and warehouses;
- Disposition of goods inside bonded zones or warehouses;
- Collection of customs service fee;
- Penalties and closing of bonded zones or warehouses
