Kuwait Customs launch new Guidelines

Kuwait Customs has released a handbook outlining the projected customs fees for services such as import/export goods.

The General Administration of Customs ("GAC") has released a guidance on expected customs costs for services rendered for import and/or export goods.

The guide is part of a larger development strategy that includes an uniform regulatory framework for customs service fees as well as a more straightforward and integrated description of services. This is in addition to the full price list, which can be found at all customs offices and on their websites.

The guide's goal is to educate importers and exporters on all expected customs fees owed on services given for their various shipments, depending on multiple factors identified by the system, in order to improve the trading community's concept of transparency.

You can access Law including Guidelines, Cabinet & FTA Decisions, Public Clarifications, Forms, Business Bulletins for all taxes (Vat, Excise, Customs, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing) for all GCC Countries in the Law Section of GCC FinTax
