In a cabinet meeting chaired by Sheikh Mohammed, plans to link payment systems across GCC announced

On Monday 11 April 2022, in an important cabinet meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, several important decisions to implement the vision for the city were taken.

Perhaps the most important decision came in the form of cabinets approval to adopt an agreement to link the payment systems of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. No further details are available about the agreement.

Tweeting that the goal of the Dubai government is to provide easy access to family counseling specialists, the cabinet also decided to adopt unified standards to license family counseling professionals.

Other important decisions include the UAE setting up coordination offices with its foreign missions in several countries to coordinate and support humanitarian work and implementing federal strategies to accelerate the growth of the digital economy.

These decisions are among the flurry of decisions being taken to work towards UAE economic vision 2030 which aims to achieve effective economic transformation of the Emirate's economic base and bring about global integration and enduring benefits to all. The Abu Dhabi-based government has a core commitment to building a sustainable and diversified, high-value-added economy by 2030.
