GAZT publishes guide on Excise Tax Stamps

Saudi Arabia's  General Authority of Tax and Zakat (GAZT)  has published a guide on Digital Tax Stamps for Excise Tax. Currently, the guide is published in Arabic.

A Tax Stamp is a unique marking in a form of a marking/code containing digital data affixed ‎to the specified excise goods and electronically activated. ‎

Tax stamps are applied for, affixed and monitored by a control and monitor system. The system ‎requires producers and importers of the specified excise goods to comply with the standards set ‎for the stamps and with the system in general in order to be allowed to import and sell the ‎designated excise goods in the Kingdom. In addition, the system requires the manufacturing ‎companies to affix stamps and highly secured codes on all packages‏ ‏or packets of the ‎designated excise goods to be sold in the kingdom’s markets. ‎
