Excise Tax Workshop conducted by FTA

 FTA conducted an awareness workshop for businesses registered for excise tax on 9th September 2019. The workshop was about expanding the scope of excise tax as per the recent  Cabinet Decision No. 52 of 2019. Broadly, the informative session covered the following areas:

• Expanding the scope of Excise Tax;
• Adding Excise Tax products to the retail selling price;
• Expansion of the Digital Tax  Stamps Scheme;
• Changes in Excise Tax reporting and Compliance.

As per FTA, a workshop for businesses currently not registered for excise tax is scheduled on 18th Sep 2019 in Dubai.  The workshop dates for Dubai and other Emirates are  mentioned below:
