Dubai Trade and Logistics benefit from the new E-delivery Order

“Electronic Delivery Order” is a new advanced technological tool introduced by the Dubai Trade, a single-window platform for cross border trade of the DP World. This feature is an immediate answer to the COVID’ 19 pandemic. Recognising the need for an alternative to the traditional over the counter trade dealings in a socially distant world, the DP World responded with this new feature which optimises the cost and bulky procedures. A game-changer in trade and Logistics sector, the E- Delivery order allows supply chain stakeholders to foundation their import processes online.

The Dubai Customs Authority now accepts the option of submitting Bill of Lading and Delivery orders in digital format. Elimination of manual intervention in these processes leaves them more efficient and cost-effective. The beneficiaries among others of this feature include Shipping Agents, Freight Forwarders and Beneficial Cargo Owners. Apart from the decrease in cargo clearance turnaround time, the new digital feature boosts competitiveness and transparency in the import processes.
