50% tax on sweetened drinks from 1st Oct in Oman

Oman's Tax Authority has announced implementation of Excise Tax on sweetened drinks with effect from 1st October 2020.  According to Article 15 of Excise Tax Law, all parties with business in sweetened drinks (importing, production, trading or distribution) must submit a declaration of their existing inventory  on the day  by the end of 30th September 2020.
