One can claim input on expenses (purchased services or goods) incurred for business purposes provided they are VAT registered, proper Tax invoice for the expense is retained and the expenses are paid for. This is for expenses on which VAT has been charged by your supplier (including e-commerce purchases). Certain expenses are disallowed from input claim such as entertainment, personal vehicle etc.
