Self registration under VAT
Are businesses required to register themselves for Excise Tax , like VAT Registration?

Yes, businesses engaged in importing, exporting, manufacturing, trading, storing or transporting of products like tobacco products, carbonated soft drink; energy drinks and special purpose goods will have to register with the Federal Tax Authority. There is no threshold for business unlike VAT in UAE.
