Update on the GAZT website for VAT returns

The e- service portal on the website of the GAZT of Saudi Arabia (General Authority for Zakat and tax), was recently updated as to filing VAT return. With the increase in rate of VAT to 15% this year, the portal now provides a 'Yes/ No’ option for any sales and purchases subject to VAT at 5% as per transitional provisions. On clicking the ‘Yes’ option, the user is shown the Sales and Purchases bifurcated in two parts i.e. 15% and 5% respectively.

The Authority has been updating the website a lot more to facilitate the smooth adaptation of the VAT law and for providing ease of access to the taxpayers.
