Dubai Mall launches 'City Validation' VAT refund service for International Visitors

The Dubai Mall in partnership with service provider Planet, has launched a VAT refund pilot for visitors to get their five percent back on purchases in the UAE.

Visitors need to present their valid boarding pass, passport or GCC national ID, as well as the original receipts and tax-free tag for the same. The money will be reimbursed through either credit or debit card, cash, or WeChat.
